Skincare Focus: Cleaning the Face

Cleansing or washing the face seems to be a simple ritual, but it is more crucial and detailed than it seems. It appears to take little effort, yet the outcome of face washing is apparent. In order to obtain the desired result of cleaner face, many skin experts agree on not over scrubbing and over cleansing, as stated on a Wall Street Journal article (click here if you want a read), which I think is a really good and trustworthy read for those who are interested in exploring the world of face cleansing.

Skincare 101: The First Steps

Skin is a delicate organ of the body that needs a bit of a particular care because it basically protects the inside of the body. It also helps with feeling everything by touch. Unfortunately, skin is also the first body organ that got exposure from the air pollution of the surroundings. Pollution can cause many unwanted things for the skin that includes wrinkles and dark spot. Don't we all want to prevent having wrinkles at early age? The only thing that works to prevent those undesirable problems is by taking care of your skin. First step of skincare is to simply keep your face clean by washing your face every single day, in the morning and at night before bed. We all have different methods on how to clean our face, but I personally always look up to a Youtube video of a lady named Isabelle Belis showing step by step on how she cleans her face.

Why Skincare?

I find it quite interesting how I got really interested in skincare in particular. My first 'encounter' with the world of beauty was through my obsession with K-pop. I watched a lot of Korean TV programs that feature my favourite Korean stars, and one day I stumbled upon a show called Get It Beauty, a show that discusses topics revolving around beauty, which at that time had numerous famous Korean stars as the guest stars, including my favourite stars. Since then, I have been an avid watcher of the show, and my obsession with K-pop may have faded, but my obsession with beauty lives on. Why is that the case?
